What a fantastic turnout, over 80 Grannies, Candidates, Wives, Girlfriends and Offspring made it to Cluttons for the Cocktail Party. A great time had by all and a lot of happy Match Managers who seemed to have at least half a side each for their matches - unless you are Creff who has a side and a half for the Gravediggers.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of a silver rocking chair to Draff in recognition of the sterling service that he has given to the club as Fixture Secretary and Chairman over the past 30 years - he modestly claims only 25. It should be emphasised that Draff has been ably supported by EA with the Fixtures, especially since the introduction of the computer and more recently, for Draff, email.
Thanks to Pat, Linda, EA and Alice for the food and to the younger Percivals who were roped in to help out. Also thanks to Stanners and Syko on the wine front and Cluttons for the use of their offices.
