Match report

The groundsman at The Nevill decided that the ground had had too much rain at 8:30pm on the night before the game, and called off the fixture.

Had we played, I would undoubtedly be writing about centuries for Philpott and Sykes, a five wicket haul for Ansbro, three legside stumpings by Percival and some stunning catches from Carr.

Oh well, maybe next year...

Widely acknowledged as one of the most picturesque grounds in the country, The Nevill is a marvellous place to play cricket. It is used for county matches by Kent CCC as an alternative to Canterbury. The past two years have seen closely fought draws played out, with plenty of runs shared between the teams.

How to get there
From the North:

From M25 junction 5 take A21.
Continue on A21 to junction with A26.
At roundabout continue on A26.
Bear left onto the A267 and turn left into Warwick Park.
Turn left into Nevill Gate.

From the South:

From A267 continue on road towards Tunbridge Wells Town Centre.
Turn right into Rodean Road.
Bear right onto Warwick Park.
Turn left into Nevill Gate.
